Snowshoeing at full moon in the Puig de les Moreres

This excursion with  snowshoes in full moon in the Puig de les Moreres, has its own  starting point at  the ski resort  of Port del Comte (1730 meters), a  the region of  Solsonès. This way out  it is perfect  to get started in the  snowshoe mode and to enjoy  of the light of the full moon.

On this route we will make two peaks, the Cim de Querol (2110 meters high) and the Puig de les Moreres (2214 meters above sea level). We will go up gradually, we will pass by the Bages refuge and after a short time we will reach the Puig de Querol from where we will see the top of the Puig de les Moreres, where we will arrive at nothing.

With a little luck, on the way up, we will identify the different animal footprints we will see in the  snow where we will learn about the flora and fauna of our environment. Then we will go to the shelter where they will wait for us for dinner and overnight. Will you miss it?

Itineraries :  Ski station -  Refuge of Bages - Cim de Querol - Puig de les Moreres - Parking of the Ski Resort - Refuge.

Saturday: Ascent to the refuge from the car park, there will be a short route after dinner around the refuge.

Sunday: Go up the Puig de les Moreres down to the refuge and return  in cars.

Slope :  484 meters of elevation gain  accumulated up to  Puig de les Moreres. At all times we will be gradually rising and  there is no steep climb, which we can define as an ideal starting point.

Difficulty : Initiation.

Material needed  wear : Sunglasses (minimum protection factor 3 or 4), waterproof mountain high boots, two or three pairs of thick socks, pants and thermal T-shirt (1st layer), warm pants (2nd layer), jacket and waterproof pants (3rd layer), waterproof gloves other warm gloves and spare gloves, front, spare clothes, backpack about 30  liters.
 

Food to bring : You must bring at least one liter water bottle, food (bars, one or two sandwiches minimum) and some pieces  of fruit.
