Snowshoe outing in Serra d’Ensija

Serra d’Ensija (“Ensija Mountain Range”) is located in the region of Bergedà, at the foot of the Pedraforca Mountain. This area is part of the Nature Park of the Cadí–Moixeró. Would you like to have the pleasure to experience an initiation route?  There we would be able to enjoy the subalpine forests of Berguedà and its fauna, where one of the last bastions of the capercaillie specie still remains. Go deeper with us and enjoy Berguedà and its routes, where we will be able to observe the emblematic Pedraforca. Moreover, in our ascent to the refugee of the Ensija mountain range we will also be able to contemplate the wide variety of different species of flora that can be found, such as the black pine, the silver pine or the rhododendron, among others. This one is an itinerary of intermediate difficulty. We will go to the refuge of the Ensija mountain range, located at 2,156 metres, and we will ascend to the top of La Gallina Pelada (“the Bare Hen”), at a height of 2,317 metres. Afterwards, we will return to the refuge, where we will overnight and, finally, the following day we will go back to the car park. This is an ideal route for beginners in the winter snowshoe outings.
